So far, I have only used the Husky craftivity/story element chart. The students' work looks super cute in the hallways! The ears were a little difficult for the students to be able to fold and put together themselves, but I found a few student "experts" who went around the room and helped the others out.

This resource was great because there were short response and extended response questions for every chapter. I used in with my resource group and it allowed them to practice writing short response answers as well as extended responses.

I have traveled to the isolated place I loved...Nome, AK. I love that town, and the people there. I can't wait to use this in my class after Christmas (closer to when the Iditarod is run), and share not only the book, but also the love I have for the place. Going to bring a bit of the largest state to TX.

Excellent resource. Very creative and well-thought out. Gives students a chance to consistently practice providing evidence when answering questions. The vocabulary and map provided good talking points and helped us prepare for each chapter. Plus, the cute pictures were fun to color for early finishers.
