Need a writing unit for November? I've got you covered!

These units provide explicit instruction for students on how to write an informational paper. Mini-lessons, writing papers, and informational pages are included!

Since I teach a multi grade class, the unit is differentiated to meet the needs of various levels of students. I truly understand having many leveled writers in one room! ***If you are using this with first graders you will probably need to read the passages with the students.

There is no prep needed for this unit! Just select the pages you want and print them for your students. I do suggest a writing folder or 3 ring binder. It helps keep the students organized. We use 3-ring binders so the students can easily take papers in and out.

☞Use one as a shared writing project, then the other as a more independent project. The first serves as a guided practice and the second is independent practice.
☞You could even be send these home as homework for a family project!
☞Maybe even split the class in half. Half do the Pilgrim report and the other half complete the Native American report. Have a Thanksgiving celebration sharing the reports and celebrating by dressing up and having food.
☞There are so many possibilities. It could fill your whole November!
